The Perception of Precarious Workers about Ill-health Effect of Work

Abstract

|
This study has planned to investigate the perception of precarious workers about health effect of work in Korea and to analyze related factors that have influenced on the perception of ill-health effect of work. Korean Working Conditions Survey data done by Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute in 2011 was used with hierarchical logistic regression analysis. The precarious worker has shown higher perception of ill-health effect of their work than that of stable workers. Among the precarious workers, gender, age, wage, job tenure, occupation, work time pressure, job satisfaction were statistically significant effect on the perception of ill-health effect of work. In future research work about social and institutional vulnerability of the precarious workers may be suggested.
